We have recently sought re-accreditation of our Careers Quality Mark through Investors in Careers., Investors in Careers is a nationally-validated quality mark that is awarded to schools and colleges in recognition of the excellence of their careers work.

We are delighted to announce that we have now been assessed and accredited as fully meeting all the accreditation criteria incorporating the Gatsby Benchmarks. This achievement demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the school to ensure every student receives the best possible Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to prepare them for their future.

The award included external assessments by a registered assessor.

During the final assessment the school was praised for a number of strengths including:

• Very effective communication strategies and close teamwork underpin excellent coherence.
• The Senior Leadership Team and Careers Leader have worked very hard to ensure that there is a whole school ethos of 'careers being everyone's responsibility' whilst the Careers Leader holds a watching brief and provides effective support.
• The strong support of both Governors and Senior Leadership Team have resulted in careers work being valued by staff, parents and pupils alike.

   

Whilst maintaining our strengths, the school will continue to strengthen CEIAG by better signposting careers work in subject lessons, improving tracking of individuals, and further developing the Career Subject Weeks introduced last year.
