Back to News ListCakes, sweets and ‘Splat the teacher!’
Posted on: 2nd JulAlongside yesterday’s ‘Brave the Shave’ event, there were many other students involved in raising money for their House charities across break and lunchtime, with stalls selling sweets, homemade cakes, a chocolate tombola stall and ‘spin the wheel’ confectionary game all set up in the central courtyard and field.
Meanwhile on the field a ‘splat the teacher’ game had been set up, with staff including Headteacher, Mr Prosser, Head of Sixth Form, Mr Hogan, Head of Year 9 Miss Bermingham and Maths teacher Mr Gunputhram braving volunteering to have wet sponges thrown at them by students. For a donation of 50 pence, students could load up three sponges with water and aim them at the teacher of their choice. There was a long list of students waiting to take part and the teachers all took it in good spirits!
