The school has raised an incredible £20,000 following its annual 10k sponsored walk on 20 September.

The 1,200 students and staff joined together to walk a 10k route along the Ridgeway in fancy dress, braving the challenging windy and showery conditions.

The money raised will be used to rejuvenate the central courtyard area of the school, including replacing the existing seating and creating new planting areas. This will bring colour to the space and make it a more relaxing place to be for the students.

Headteacher Chris Prosser said: “Our staff and students really enjoyed the event, despite the adverse weather conditions, and I am delighted with the amount that was raised. Thank you to all who sponsored them. Our students’ wellbeing is paramount, and we believe that the update to our central courtyard area will create a more welcoming space, therefore having positive benefits to both the students and our staff.”
