Back to News ListDigital Detox Day produces stunning models and culinary delights!
Posted on: 31st MarCongratulations to the winners of the recent Digital Detox Day Geography competition who are pictured below. Years 9, 12 and 13 were involved, with the Yr 9s and 13 asked to make a model of a volcano or a volcano cake, and Yr 12s to produce a coast themed cake or model.
Our talented students showed creativity and flair, and Mrs Pickard said she and her fellow judges enjoyed looking at the finished models and cakes. “We were impressed with the attention to detail and the creativity of the students,” she said. “For example one student made a volcano out of the food from her chosen region, meatballs and spaghetti! We also saw lots of sparklers or cakes that when they were cut had lava pouring out from them.”
Please below a gallery of the students’ creations and a photograph of the winners who are from left to right: Darcie M, Daisy M, Ruby E, Izzy M, Nathaniel W, Kayla K, Katie N and Tegan W.
