Back to News ListYear 13s looking forward to their end of year celebrations
Posted on: 14th MayWith a brief respite from the wet weather on Wednesday, it was the perfect opportunity to get the Year 13 students outside and take the official end of year photograph. As these students near the end of their time at The Downs School and prepare to head off to pastures new including university, gap years, the world of work and apprenticeships, it was great to get them all together and capture a memento to mark their time here. The final image and details of how to make a purchase will shortly be sent to parents/carers.
The students are also looking forward to their leavers day celebrations which involves both staff and students coming to school in fancy dress, games including an inter-tutor group tug of war and speeches and awards. The final event for our Year 13s will be their prom which takes place in July at Newbury Racecourse and is always an enjoyable event.
