Boulogne was the destination for some of our Year 8 students, with a fantastic French day trip at the end of last week. Despite a very early start, students enjoyed visiting the old town, went shopping in the local market and bakery, and filled their rucksacks with plenty of souvenirs to bring home.

The visit gave them plenty of opportunities to speak the language and the students loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere they experienced from the local people.

“It was a fantastic day,” said Mrs Cooling, teacher of Modern Languages. “Our students really impressed me with their confidence in using their language skills and it was a really rewarding experience for them.”
