Further to The Downs School’s recent sponsored walk, which raised over an incredible £20,000, the school held a celebration for the top student fundraisers, who made significant contributions to the overall total.

Students met with KS4 Deputy Headteacher Carol Butler, who treated them to refreshments and congratulated them on their efforts. The money raised from the sponsored walk will be used to rejuvenate the central courtyard area of the school. This will involve replacing the existing seating and creating new planting areas, bringing colour to the space and making it a more relaxing place to be for the students.
