Mrs Hicks tells us about a fascinating Georgraphy project the students were involved in this term.

 

'KS3 (Years 7,8 & 9) had to choose a country from the continent we were studying in year 7 (Africa) and year 8 (Asia) and in year 9, whilst we study Russia in school, they are learning about a country of their choice in the Middle East.

We gave them the brief (example attached) of being creative and said they couldn't do powerpoint presentations, instead guided them to alternatives such as a diorama, bunting, posters or even making a family meal. The students each have to then discuss their chosen country with their group (4 per group) and the group peer assesses the overall output.

We will be awarding 1st, 2^nd and 3^rd prizes in class'
