The Downs School attends Climate Conference

Posted on: 26th Sep

Yesterday, Our Head of Geography, Mrs Hicks attended the ‘Climate and Nature Action in Education’ Conference at University of Reading.

She tells us 'As the Sustainability Lead for The Downs and Eco Club, I attended to find out about how to write the schools next Climate Action Plan which the government requires all schools to do by the end of 2025. This is such an important step in the climate change movement and great progress for TDS.'

Mrs Hicks & the Eco Club have made great strides in championing sustainability and how the school can increase its responsibilities to the local and national environment.

Thank you to The University of Reading for hosting the event
