On Tuesday evening, The Downs School community came together to celebrate the achievements of its past and present students at the annual Prize-Giving and Certificate Presentation event. Over 300 students, parents, and carers filled the school hall to honour accomplishments spanning academic excellence, sporting triumphs, performing arts successes, and charitable contributions.

This year’s guest speaker, Mr Alex Leith delivered an inspiring address about his time as a BBC Director and Producer of highly acclaimed documentaries including his experiences filming in Sierra Leone. He talked about his journey into television work and his ongoing pursuit of the importance of documentary filmmaking.

Reflecting on the occasion, Mr. Prosser said: Prize Giving is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work, talent, and achievements of our students. It’s always inspiring to see their dedication and success showcased, and to come together as a school community to recognise their accomplishments."
